Do you enjoying reading works regarding teachings of Buddhism along with spiritual aspects in your life? If so, then consider joining the TGN Mankato Book Club. During these club meetings, individuals will conjure up ideas, questions and discussion points involving a written work suggested by the club. Not only will this club give individuals the opportunity to read about spirituality but will also allow them to discuss their perception of the book in a casual setting.
The agenda of the first meeting will mostly consist of establishing books to read in the future and will provide individuals with the option of suggesting books they believe will be appropriate for the club. Further information regarding the dates and times of the meetings will depend on everyone’s schedule and will be announced after meditation class Monday night on January 4th.
Although the decision on which books to read will be discussed during the first meeting, here are a few past written works that have caused meaningful discussion among group members. Please feel free to look into them and see which you might prefer.
- A New Earth: by Eckhart Tolle
- Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach
- The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer
- The Wise Heart by Jack Kornfield
- The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown
Everyone is welcome to be a part of the TGN Book Club in Mankato so if you or anyone you know is interested in joining please contact Mike Hollibush at [email protected].
